Swift Adventures In Thirlmere

Today, Bank Holiday Monday, the three of us set of with the Land Rover Dormobile towing the new little caravan. We had bought a two-berth Swift Silhouette from a neighbour in August and hadn't had a chance to use it because of how ill mum had been.

So The Man, The Mate, The Dog and I arrived at a small caravan site in Thirlmere, only about 13 miles from home but good for a trial run. It gave us a chance to make sure we had everything in working order and all the bits on board for living away from home.

No mobile reception, no internet, just peace and quiet for a few days. We had the site more or less to ourselves.
