Golden Light on the Opihi

Today we had a trip into Timaru to dispose of the old wall linings I tore down in the living room last week, as well as stopping by to see the inlaws and picking up a few more bits of furniture from the storage unit.

On the way back home as we crossed the Opihi River near Temuka, I aimed my X100s out the car window (Mrs H was driving) to capture this shot of the low light across the braided river flats.

Tomorrow I'm heading down to the Mackenzie Country once more; I'm going to be giving a friend of mine (whose staying in a bach down there) a 'star tour', pointing out the major features of the southern sky and hopefully grabbing a few more astro shots. Watch this space....
