The wheel that Howard built

This is the wheel that Howard built for Dave Lucas' new boat. Amazing huh? My husband Steve did all the finishing work on this wheel. He also donated some of dad's stash of beautiful cherry wood to make it. Steve is known for his finishing work, so he was elected for the job! He worked for quite a while figuring out how to get the epoxy just right, eventually using a timer to tell him when to turn the wheel so there wouldn't be any drips. I think it looks fantastic!
