Millgate House, Richmond

Very late posting this entry. This is Millgate House Gardens in Richmond. The owners of the place we stayed - The Coach House run bed and breakfast at Millgate House and also manage this spectacular garden which is open to the public but also available for guests at The Coach House to use while staying there.

This shot was taken just before we had to be out of the house at 10.00am and was the first time I'd been in the garden, all the others had made a point of visiting during the week. It certainly was a very interesting and well stocked garden.

As is usual when we're on holiday we're reluctant to leave as soon as we're kicked out of the property so we spent the morning on a guided tour of the Georgian Theatre Royal and the Green Howards Museum as well as a final visit to The Station for one more of the best scones in England before setting off for the south at about 1.30pm.

Fortunately another trouble free journey, we arrived home at 6.30 with a 45 minture stop for lunch at Blyth. Pleased to be home and pleased to have our friend from Canada staying with us for the last week of her holiday before she flies home next Sunday.
