Capturing my Journey

Road home

This is a picture of gathering the sheep into the farm yard this afternoon. Pip was very good and steady and as you can see she is a distance from me and remaining calm and gently walked onto the sheep. If you look closely her mum Shaw is also in the photo making sure the sheep don't break to the right down below. We have given the lambs their first vaccination injection and like the dogs they will need a second one in 4-6weeks time, this is a 7 in 1 injection and covers them for a multitude of things that can kill them. They also had a worm dose as now they begin grazing and are prone to getting worms and at this early stage it can kill them. The ewes also got a worm/fluke dose at the same time. All were counted and checked and then let back out to the hill again.

In the morning my friend came to trim my horses feet in exchange for a training session with her kelpie pup. The horses were very excitable when I went to catch them but were very relaxed and calm when my friend did the trimming thankfully. Tess the kelpie had a great training session and is showing some improvement in her focus and was very good at a gradual meet with one of our dogs. She is a little scared of other dogs and can be a bit aggressive to other dogs because of this. She showed no aggression today and after lots of work managed to approach one of our dogs calmly then proceeded to play with him so all happy there!!

Emergency spaghetti bolognaise hastily defrosted for dinner tonight, very hungry after the busy day.

14c 10mph W overcast becoming sunny as the day went on. The wind still feels a little cold.
