They're called gobblers...

...Maybe it's because of the noise they make, but maybe it is because they gobble down corn kernels and peanuts if you throw some on the path. That's what these young turkeys did. I wanted them to come closer for a better photo opp, so I tossed some peanut chips onto the trail. It worked.

Isn't it strange how 63 degrees will seem warm in February, but in June, it feels downright cold? That's about where our high temperature settled today, but I don't think it was that warm when I went walking in the park. I was wishing for my fleece-lined jacket, handwarmers, and ear muffs to protect me from the stiff breeze that was blowing. Hopefully, tomorrow will be warmer!
