Cooking with Ceredwen

You may have seen this worthy vessel in the unmemorable film series Harry Potter, in Professor Quarrell's classroom at Hogworts. It is in fact the cauldron at Lacock Abbey, in Wiltshire (click the extra pic for the abbey itself). The cauldron was made in the year 1500 and was apparently used to cook the nun's food.

On a Blip tangent, Lacock is also the home of the National Trust's Fox Talbot museum, he having taken the first photographic negative picture there. The abbey grounds, museum and house at Lacock are held by National Trust, and we had a fine ride out there today in welcome sunny weather.

By chance, it's a Wednesday, and I used my wide lens... Therefore, allow me to add widwed14 to the tags, and smile at Hobbs in a warm and friendly manner and say, well, there might be a cat in the cauldron (called, of course, Schrödinger) No? Thought not. ;-)
