Harbour Morning

We travelled to Mosman Bay and took the beautiful walk from the ferry terminal there around to Cremorne Point. Not, strictly speaking, part of the Sydney Harbour National Park, it is nonetheless part of that wonderful system of walks which traces the harbour foreshores from North to South Head.

Here we stand near the bow of one of Sydney's "First Fleet" ferries which were introduced in the 1988 bi-centennial year. They have since been handsomely refitted a couple of times and are scrupulously maintained. Each vessel is named after one of the ships which comprised Arthur Phillips' "first fleet" of convicts and settlers for the new colony ... back in 1788.

Wide Angle Wednesday: A Cat's Eye View

It has been said before. I could have awarded stars to most of the entries. I was delighted to find that people had gone to a great deal of trouble researching the characteristics of cat vision and even attempting to simulate exactly what the world would look like to a cat. I also had to balance that with images which placed the viewer in authentic "cat locations" and with pics which showed the striking characteristics of wide angle composition. Inevitably my choices are highly subjective and many excellent postings don't get listed here. .... BUT:
