Orchid beetle

Slight back blip today as I ran out of time to upload my shots to the PC yesterday.
This is an Orchid beetle  Dascillus cervinus, which strangely enough I see around wild orchids although I am not convinced there is a connection, as the larvae feed on roots mainly of grasses, The beetle is approx 1cm in length and covered in hair. it flies from may to July , and is considered a local species.
