Marjorie's ramblings

Open gardens

Today our walking friend, Pat, opened his garden to the public as part of an Open Gardens event in Fourstones and Newbrough villages.  A whole crowd from the walking group turned up.

The garden is gorgeous. It was designed mainly by Pam, who sadly died last year.  She worked tirelessly in the garden with Pat working under instruction (I think he would say). He has continued her work and the garden is an absolute delight.

There were frequent heavy showers followed by brilliant, but short lived, spells of sunshine.

I was home in time to see the second set of the Queens Final. Well done to Andy Murray who played very well.

My second photo today is called "Synchronised Feeding". Baby woodpeckers appeared in the garden today. They had learned how to hang on to the feeders, but were not sure what to do next....... It was very funny to watch.  This image was taken through double glazing so it's not brilliant, but I thought you might enjoy it.
