'What are you looking at ?'

This young starling was abit taken back when the tiny Long Tailed Tit flew on to the suet block. They both continued to feed together.
There have been two Long Tailed Tits coming into the garden the last couple of days so I think they have young close by. I shall keep my eyes peeled as I have never seen a young one.
They really are brave and will fight for a place against any of the usual birds including chaffinch and bluetits and usually win.

The voles have been very active today and there were two tiny young ones starting to explore. Also saw the wood mouse who kept dashing under the feeder to collect the fallen seeds.

A good morning weather wise. Starting misty and the Firth looked very calm with great reflections. I was really hoping to go to the beach for a walk but Mike had phone calls until 10.30 and then Davids bike would nt start so we took him to Inverness. Mike was hungry so he had a breakfast in Dobbies while I looked at the plants. Found a nice pearl pink rose called Pearl Wedding so had to buy it for our Anniversary even though it was last month.
Waited in for my injections that eventually arrived at 5.30pm as the driver had been delayed in Wick. Now pouring with rain but at the least the garden will have a good water.
