Life through the lens...

Plan Bee!

Today Drighlington village was holding their Gala, for the first time since 1996. Complete with parade, and opened by the Gala Queen.
After a misty morning, by lunch time the sun had come out, and it was another lovely summer's day.
We decide to walk there, but as the bus arrived just as we got to the bus stop we used our bus pass instead of our legs!
There was a huge funfair, 60 stalls and stands, and a horse display by the  Galloping Acrobatics, and sheepdog trials. ( both of which we missed!)
However we did have a walk round the stalls. Purchased some marmalade ( homemade) and saw the Air Ambulance land just in front of us.
( just a display!)
It was nice to see so many families having a great afternoon.
There was even a beach with deckchairs, and kids building sandcastles!
A very good village atmosphere. Hope they will now continue it next year.
We were quite hot after a walk back home, through the fields, and so sat out in the garden with a Magnum !
What an enjoyable afternoon!
So why have I posted a shot of this bee trying to get itself out of the rose.(I thought it was stuck!)
Well I forgot to take my camera didn't I!!!

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend too.
