An ordinary life....

Fields of Gold...

We made it!

Ferry crossing was fine. But difficult getting Alan back in the car as there was a very expensive Mercedes convertible parked so close (thought Alan's muckle wheelchair was going to scratch it!!!) but between David and two very helpful crew members, they got him manhandled into the car.

Journey was long but fine. No hold ups and we didn't get lost, even in Rouen where we ALWAYS get lost. New cheap sat nav got us straight through.

Unfortunately Marion hadn't been so lucky. Her flight from Edinburgh was delayed so she missed her connecting flight from Stanstead to La Rochelle and won't arrive till tomorrow (Sunday). Hey ho.

Holiday house is amazing as are the English owners Jan and Mick. They gave Ele the full tour of the 2 acre garden before we arrived. They have chickens so we've to help ourselves to fresh eggs every morning if we want. A salad and veg patch and we can help ourselves to fresh produce from there and their fruit trees.

Alan had a tour of the pool. Too late and tired to go in tonight but roll on tomorrow

The sun is shining and it's hot and set to get sunnier and hotter! I shall melt!!

PS. Did I mention it's sunny and hot? ;-)))
