Thistles

We've gone to Holland for the weekend and I noticed a very Scottish looking thistle next to the entrance to the front garden. I removed it, then took it to the back garden to photograph and now have had some fun with PS Elements and its filters and inverted it, so that the dark background became light and then changed it back to its normal colours to make it into a slightly more edgy and more artistic image. I have no idea what all that stuff on its stems is, it's looking rather grim, but now that I've captured it on camera it can be binned with the rest of the garden waste ;-)
