Mellow yellow

We've done good work today, the garden in Holland has been the domain of our gardener, but he has been ill since February and in fact is so ill he doesn't have long to live, such a sad story. The garden was starting to become filled with moss and weeds, so today all 4 of us weeded, scraped moss of the path to the front door, cut back shrubs and budding trees appearing where they shouldn't. Everybody feels muscles where we didn't know we had them. My back is killing me now, probably best to lie down, but the front garden does look a whole lot better now. The extra shows the menfolk busy in the garden, the main picture is the cheery yellow of tutsan or sweet amber ( Hypericum androsaemum) which does grow here as well. Filled with ants, but I managed to take a picture without them.

Thanks very much for your kind comments and stars on yesterday's thistles (they were the reason I knew something had to be done about the garden now)
