Dovecot Weaving

The two small Yorkshire grandsons, arriving soaked yesterday in another Scottish summer afternoon, certainly knew how to win over His Lordship with their 'pleases' and 'thank yous ' and good table manners.
They may well be in the running to inherit his extensive collection of miniature soldiers when they grow older. Favoured boys indeed!

I was more interested in the fact that Ralph, the soon to be 7 year old, is an avid reader and so it was a visit by Grandma to the local bookshop this morning to stock up on reading material for him while is away visiting the Castle with his Edinburgh Grandfather.

While in the bookshop area, HL and I visited the Dovecot Gallery in the hope of seeing the much vaunted Bernat Klein exhibition, only to discover it doesn't open until the end of the month.
Loath to waste the visit, I blipped the weaving attached to the stairs. I blipped it many moons ago and am surprised it has lasted intact for so long.
