The Early Birds

It's the early birds that catch the sun
It's the early birds that have the Standing Stones of Brodgar to themselves in the sun
It's the early birds that return for breakfast in the sun
Aren't you just thankful you are not one these early birds, and can lie in bed at peace in the sun until the rest of the world wakes up.

The Orkney weather has been more than kind to us this last ten days and we had another beautiful day today, although having spent most of it in Kirkwall baking in the sun, we returned in the late afternoon to cooler showry Stromness.
