Heather Honey

...starts right here!

The bees have abandoned the few blackberry flowers remaining and are happily diving into the plethora of tiny flowers on the various heather plants in our front yard. I went out late this afternoon with my newish macro lens on my camera, attempting to "capture" said bees in action, and quickly learned that it's much harder to photograph them as they whiz up, down, and all around the vertical spikes of heather flowers than on last month's wide, flat blackberry blossoms!

Today's agile bee is for TinyTuesday, hosted by osuzanna in August. You can see all of this week's entries here.
