Yet more sheep

Jennifer, Lil and I are the team for the festival walk on Saturday October 10th. It is a circular walk from Coanwood and we will visit the Coanwood Quaker Meeting House about half way around. Julie Livsey, an artist from Haydon Bridge, has secured an Arts Council grant to design and construct a temporary art installation inside the chapel, in association with the walking festival. A first.

We were soaked early on, but it faired up later. The walk is lovely but there is one stile that had rotted and half is unsafe, with no gate nearby. Do you think the footpaths' officer will be able to mend it before October??

In one field the sheep were terribly pleased to see us and are obviously used to being fed by humans.

There was very sad news today about the health of one of our walk leaders. I'm just about to send an email out to let everyone know.

Our old friend, Malcolm, has driven south from Tongue today en route to Cambridge and we expect him here in the next couple of hours. Hope he is not too shattered. It's a very long drive.

PS Apologies for the quality of the image. It was taken on my iphone.
