Fairytale wedding.

Just like a fairytale, after a horribly wet morning, the sun came out as Jenny and Pete left the registrars office in Skipton after their marriage this afternoon.

A small group of blippers travelled to witness and photograph the happy event. First to arrive were Wendy (Wendles56) and Tony, parents of the bride and I just loved this happy capture of them both awaiting the arrival of bride Jenny and the rest of the party. (Tony's just helping his wife here with a bit of dress adjustment!)

This really was a fairy tale though as bride Jenny was dressed as a tree fairy and her groom had a complimentary outfit - there is a tree embroidered up the back of his coat. The two youngest bridesmaids were carrying swords and shields and in the extra picture one is about to exchange them for the bride's bouquet after the ceremony.

It was lovely to be a little part of a very special occasion and I'm sure they will all be enjoying a wonderful Ceildh this evening.

It's just started thundering here now with heavy rain so they definitely got the the very best of the day. Much happiness to them both.

( You will see more on Airedaleknitter; Yorkshirebred; Corinthian Column and possibly Mr John's blips later)
