towards the light

Steve came & picked me & the dogs up this afternoon and brought us to the Tiki Hut at Lucas Boatworks. We had a visitor there, our new neighbor, John. It was great to chat with him, but after an hour or so the sky was looking rather . . . "yucky". So we headed home, towards the light! We made it home safely in Steve's our new boat, it is only 5 minutes across the river. We do have a lot of tropical moisture going on with Storm Erika to the south of us, so we are sure to be hit with a bunch of rain on mon-tues-wed. From what I've heard the storm is disorganized and not very strong, so it should not be anything worse than a lot of rain. I am not worried, just watching the meteorologists!
