Norman's Pond Life

I went to Fishers Green, where I took my Countryfile pic, this afternoon.

This lovely common darter dragonfly was on the bridge over Norman's Pond, named after a Lee Valley Park conservation volunteer. I adore these insects, they interact with one, cocking their heads, hovering close and returning repeatedly. I spent ages talking to it, telling it how beautiful it is. I got some extreme close-ups as it wasn't scared of me but I quite like the above as it's a bit different with my car out of focus catching the light in the background.
