Stone Skimmers

A lovely morning – like summer – so I was up relatively early (for me, on a Sunday!), pottered for a while and then went for a run.  Once back, showered and breakfasted, I sat down to read BB’s reading book.

After lunch we headed up to the Lamemrmuirs and walked to  Hopes Reservoir.  It was a really lovely walk-  not long, but long enough to keep BB entertained en route!  The hills were purple, with the heather in flower. The water was quite low, so the boys practiced their stone skimming.  We then had a lovely drive home with fantastic views over East Lothian and beyond to Fife.

TT was keen to fire up his new bbq, so we had a bbq for tea.  He is very happy with his new toy.

BB had cello and reading homework.  I will read some more of his book later.

Here are the boys skimming stones at Hopes Reservoir.
