View from a hill

On an improbably beautiful afternoon, we were once more on the top of Benmore Gardens, having climbed the steep path behind the Victorian fernery. This is the view looking east from there, rather confusingly of the Holy Loch rather than the Firth of Clyde - Dunoon and coastline there never seem to be quite where you expect them to be.

Tonight the barometer is so high that the needle is almost at the end of the dial, the sky is still clear, and the air is positively chilly. An autumn night, but a beautiful one.
