It's a Girl's World

Mum went home this morning, so I went with her to the station and then went to Chris' to have my hair cut ready for our holiday. We then had an appointment at the wig specialist who Chris knows.

The salon in Hove is part of Trevor Sorbie's charity 'My New Hair' which had trained a number of salons to offer advice, wig consultations and aftercare services to women affected by alopecia, cancer and other hair loss conditions.

There was a lot of choice but Chris and I both agreed on the same one, which is a 'real hair' wig. It needs styling, but Chris is going to do that for me at the same time as shaving mine off, so I'll blip a selfie of my new hair once it's done. I also bought lots of accessories including a wig stand and Chris bought me a nice bright headscarf.

When we finished shopping we had lunch and then I popped into work to see my colleagues and to thank them for their contribution to my 'wig fund'. It was nice to see everyone and it won't be too long before I'm back in work even if only part time.

If you're from my era you'll probably remember the doll's styling head 'A Girl's World' hence the title ;-)
