VIC 32 and The Lady of Avenel

A lovely morning which was quite a contrast to yesterday. Mike had to collect some boxes from Argos so we went over to Inverness. We went to the Muirtown basin on the Caledonian Canal . The VIC32 , an old Clyde Puffer built in 1943 , was there as part of the Open Doors events. We've been on board before so did nt go all the way round this time.
The tall ship Lady Of Avenel was also there , looking very smart after a recent repaint. She's a 102ft Brigantine square rigger. Impressive to see close at hand.
Several people were having Canadian canoe lessons on the opposite bank.
The sky was looking great with impressive clouds and we had a good drive along the Beauly Firth. One field had about 100 lapwing which was good to see.
