You Are Being Watched

A beautiful day.  The boys went off to football training and I went out for a walk to top up my tan!  It has been one of the best days of summer.  After lunch we intended heading down the coast, but TT took us on a magical mystery tour to Abbey St Bathans.  He knows how to treat us!

Abbey St Bathans is a hamlet in the middle of nowhere.  He reminded me that he and BB had walked here not all that long ago, and he thought it worthy of a re-visit.  We did no serious walking – for I was dressed for a beach wander  on a sunny day – not for tackling the Southern Upland Way.  We walked along by the river, explored the churchyard (the church was locked) and walked a very short stretch of the aforementioned Southern Upland Way.  We met a lovely lady when we were back near the post-box.  She wanted to post a birthday card, but the post box wasn’t big enough to accommodate her card!

We drove on, before stopping again to walk through some woods to Elba Bridge over the gorge where the River Whiteadder flows.  BB was able to show me the spot where they had picnicked recently.

TT and I are looking forward to watching Beck tonight.

No need for CCTV, the trees are watching you down near Elba bridge.
