East Linton

Yesterday was a lovely bright and sunny day.  Today was dull with thick grey clouds – not too windy, not too warm, not too cold.  I went for a run this morning and almost enjoyed it.  I then cooked tomorrow’s tea.  I ignored today’s requirement for lunch and tea, knowing that I would manage to cobble something together for lunch and that TT was on tea.

After our rough and ready lunch and once TT had finished cutting the last of our hedges we headed to East Linton for a walk along the river (and John Muir Way).  We stopped at Knowes (or Noahs’ if you listen to BB) Farm Shop where delicious cake had to be consumed.  The boys had big slabs of chocolate cake, I was more restrained with my little lemon cupcake!  BB has declared that we will be back.

Once back in East Linton we checked out what was happening at the river.  The National Trust is restoring the weir.  We will have to check out the restoration the next time we walk to the farm shop!

A very nice walk, enjoyed by all, followed by prawn and courgette curry for tea again – luckily we love it!

Here is a view over the fields to East Linton.  The extra is the chocolate cake!
