Life through the lens...

Impressionist pond.

1st October, and another glorious day after a misty start.
What a pity we didn't have this weather in summer!
However we are certainly enjoying it now.

A visit to see Tom and buy some more tomatoes, unfortunately not for much longer.
He has now pulled up most of the plants, ready for his chrysanthemums going in.
I hope he sells more than he did last year, as it is hard work, and he had such a lot left, which just died off.

Had my usual look at the ducks on the pond.
Most of them were resting under the trees in the shade.
However they soon came out when a little girl and her grandad came to feed them
They had been to the pet shop to buy some proper food, as he said that bread wasn't good for them.
We started talking about how , as children, we used to come to the pond with fishing nets, to catch sticklebacks and newts.
We both agreed it was a shame that children didn't do that in this day and age.
A shame that they no longer played out like we did, climbing trees, building dens , etc.
A much healthier lifestyle all round.

Another shot of reflections and ripples was the one I have chosen for my blip.
The water is very green at the moment, but there is a still plenty in the pond, where as the reservoirs are quite low.

Nearly the weekend again. I hope this good weather lasts.
