Life through the lens...

Hanging by a leg

A busy day spent tidying up the garden.
A few bees still about.
This one was busy collecting pollen from the fuchsias., and this was the best shot I took, as it was transferring the pollen to the sacks on the side of its legs. A bit out of focus as it wouldn't keep still.

According to Monty Don on Gardener!s World, yesterday was the end of the garden year.
So today must be the start of the new.
We have been out in the garden, pulling up the runner beans, emptying some of the summer bedding flowers from the pots.
Cutting back some climbing plants, etc, etc.
Three bags of rubbish for the tip, and not nearly finished.
To be continued on Monday as I am shattered.
Hope I can stay awake for Strictly.

Sorry I am a bit behind with comments. Will try and catch up later. Hope you are having a good weekend.

Forgot to say we had a delicious lunch yesterday. J cooked a leg of Nidderdale lamb on the BBQ,which we had with courgettes, potatoes, and a lovely dish of carrots cooked with a horseradish cream sauce. F's grandmother's recipe from South Africa.
Apple crumble to follow. All very yummy!
