Maritime Museum

We had a really interesting visit to the Maritime Museum in Fremantle this morning.  It had added interest for CCN as she was able to secure an image of the ocean liner that brought her to Australia from Scotland with her family in 1953.  The New Australia was the last immigrant ship to make passage through the Suez Canal.  No doubt it was a very memorable journey for my friend.

The museum is quite spectacular and it was great to see the winning yacht in the 1983 America's Cup challenge, Australia II in all its glory, even got a close look at the winged keel!!

We couldn't help ourselves and drove home the long way via Kings Park, we were keen to have a look at the new pavilion that was opened on the weekend.  It marks the 50th Anniversary of the Botanic Gardens.  I have added an extra image which I think will give blippers a good feel for the park and the pavilion.  I do urge you to view the larger image to really enjoy it.

Tiny Tuesday 19
I am delighted that Newcastle Downunder will be hosting Tiny Tuesday for us for the next couple of weeks at least.  Please make sure you tag your entries with TinyTuesday19, TinyTuesday and TT19 - this will make sure Jen can find your spectacular entry.  I'm hoping my extra image today may count.  There are thousands of tiny flowers in the extra :-) .......just saying Jen!!
