Wombat Hollow Waratah

It's been a really full day today and I realised late this afternoon that I didn't have an image for today's blip.  I raced out with my camera, Tamron macro lens on board and had a bit of a fossick in the bush around the house.  I came across this wonderful Waratah bud that is just about to burst its buttons.  This is the exciting part of the process.  After nearly 6 month developing to this stage of the flowering process, it is only a week or so away from arriving at its exquisite finale.  I will watch this bud with great interest over the next couple of weeks, in fact I thought I would revisit it at the same time next Thursday and take another photo.
