Balls

...and I went for extra large ones.

Today has been another day of firsts. It started as usual at the ridiculous hour of 6. Boo. But that will be my last 6 o'clock alarm for a week! Hooray!

Jon needed my car to drive to Cambridge today, so he dropped me at the park and ride. With an agreed pick up later in the evening.

At lunch I whizzed over to my lovely bead lady and bought some earring wires. I hope to make lots next week.

My working day got busier as it went on. I've had to leave what I couldn't get done, with the lovely James, who said he was happy for me to leave it with him.

At 4.30 I headed off with a group of work colleagues for an evening socialising. My first first of today. Great for me to get to know people better and start to make new friends. My second first, was my visit to the riverside complex where everything is happening on a Friday night in Norwich. A couple of drinks in Wetherspoons and then we headed over to the bowling alley for an evening of competition! 3 teams and we really had a great time. I had been quite worried about letting down the competitive parties, but in the end it was good natured friendly competition. Much alcohol consumed by some, certainly jollied the evening along. Two games later, and one team came out on top! After posing for a group shot, we went back to Wetherspoons for a bite to eat, more drinks, more getting to know people.

At 9 I left with Heather to catch the train to Sheringham. My final first of the day. At £7.10 one way, it wasn't cheap, but was very straight forward and Jon was able to pick me up the other end an hour later.

A good evening! It's ages since I've been out for a work do, and although my new friends can't replace what we had in Cambridge, I really felt included tonight, and no longer the 'new girl'. It was a happy time.

And now my week off starts proper....
