Car Park

I'm writing this just before 7pm. The Little Misses are asleep in bed, It Takes Two is on TV, cup of tea in hand. All's well with the world!
I was a very domestic this morning - stewing eight tons of apples for the freezer, making a vat of spicy butternut squash soup for the freezer, getting a coca cola gammon in the slow cooker, doing two loads of laundry and throwing away gone off things from the fridge.
Phew!
After lunch and a bit of lazing about Miss L asked could we go to the current.
After a fair bit of investigative work I discovered that she meant Aqua Vale - the swimming pool in Aylesbury.  The "current" being the lazy rapids!!
We last went on her third birthday in February 2013 and I don't know what made her think of it!
It was ace. The Little Misses had two hours of floating in the lazy rapids, playing, relaxing on bubble beds, sliding down waterfalls, riding on woggles, doing handstands, being dolphins, and running up two flights of stairs to come down the flumes (over and over again!!)
I had two hours of general floating around, swimming a bit and watching them!
They were so sweet together - one of those days where they're best friends and incredibly kind, considerate and thoughtful. Brilliant!!
They also had fun jumping in and out of the giant people dryer once we'd finally dragged ourselves out. Miss L thought it was the funniest thing in the world to strip completely and wave her bottom at passers by.
I just don't know where she gets it from!!!!
From there we popped to Tescos to take some boots back that I'd bought for Miss E which she didn't like and to pick up some birthday cards and presents for upcoming parties.
Then, because they were apparently starving and it was late, we went to McDonalds for dinner. On the condition that we're not going after gymnastics on Wednesday.
Home and straight to bed! They could hardly stay awake to clean their teeth.
