Cascade of Clematis

Today's after work project was to complete the cardboard template for custom trellis on my back fence. This is the outcome of my arduous encounter with the Christchurch City Council.

The storm water tank over my back fence remains, and the developer will pay for the custom made trellis to soften the view from my side. The developer is very good. The council? Let's just say it took 8.5 weeks, and the intervention of a councilor and senior manager before I had clarity.

I'm happy to leave it there and move on with trellis. I think I've designed something that will work. I'll have more Clematis once it's grown and covered the trellis :-)

The Clematis is about at it's flowering peak. It's absolutely stunning.
