Marjorie's ramblings

Day One in Exmoor

The workshop did not start until 4.30pm so I had all day for a gentle potter. The conditions were rather dark and damp but no rain and the autumn colours are lovely.

I found a large patch of this lichen, Peltigera canina,  the dog fungus, on a wall near Lyncombe and I liked the way the new growth is romping away. In extras there is a panorama to show the lie of the land and a piece of dying bracken that caught my fancy.

We are a group of 6 (with one more perhaps to arrive) with varied backgrounds and experience. It may take some time to gel I think, but it will be interesting to see how the group works.

We have a sunrise shoot tomorrow so I'm off to bed asap.
