Bowood 2015 #45 (Saturday 24th October 2015)

This was the last day before the clocks went back and before Bowood's last admission time also went back by an hour, so I made sure to make it over there. I was very glad that I had as the autumn colours were at their peak and the low sun was making spectacular light conditions. I could easily have taken double the number of pictures that I did. I also spent more time jotting down the plaque numbers on some of the trees so I could notate what they were.

I was torn whether to show a landscape with a variety of leaf colour, or to go with this shot which has already won an award on Flickr and shows a Purple Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum f. atropurpureum), so I have gone a bit over the top with the Extras (only 8 left now).

On my way out of the grounds, two muntjac deer ran across the road in front of me.
