Citizens

At the Democratic Club table during the White Elephant Country Fair Days in Green Valley, Arizona.

This ageless group of local citizens  (Democrats and/or Independents) are signing candidate nominating petitions. They come from all over our District to this fair, from wealthier areas to the poorest, rumpled down homes.  Some are originally from places like Minnesota and have been here but a few years.  Some hail from Mexico, originally, while others claim to be fifth generation Arizonan.

Today there are petitions for candidates seeking office from the US Senate to the County Attorney.  These are petitions which will get each of them on the ballot in November 2016.  Other than voting, this may be one of the most important acts of participating in our state democracy as exists.

So today I pay homage to the CITIZENS  of Arizona District 2.
