Journey Through Time

A New Lawn

Sort of.  Bill's brother has been at this location for maybe 12 years and he has replaced the lawn three times.  He's tried to figure out why his lawn dies but to no avail.  No one else's lawn in this subdivision has that problem except for him.  He was getting a bit frustrated and since the place where they live has CC&R's (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions) he was doubly frustrated as everyone is supposed to have a green lawn.  So, he came up with a plan and hotfooted it over to the monthly meeting to talk to the Board members of their Neighborhood Association.  He said, "Hey look, can I put in artificial turf?"  They said nobody had ever asked them that and that they'd get back to him. They did and they okayed his request.  So, this is the new 'lawn'.

It's too bad there isn't an alternative to grass, like a tastefully landscaped ground cover or something like that in their rules, but apparently not.  But if my brother-in-law is happy, then I'm happy.

Oh, and check out my Extra photos as they show some of the nifty jigsaw puzzles they have done over the years.  He glued them together and has them on his garage walls.  They are "car people" and it's reflected in the kinds of puzzles they have been given or bought over the years.

And that's about as interesting as it got today.

See ya later.
