Frosty Ladybird

I have chosen not to post a picture for derelict Sunday choosing instead another Ladybird. This one was in one of our ferns in a different part of the garden; these two were still in the Rosemary bush this morning. The fern was covered in frost and some frost can be seen on its back.
 
A very cold and frosty start to the morning, but some lovely sunshine during the day although it is forecast to rain later.

Late yesterday evening I had a telephone call from the Managing Editor or our twice-yearly local magazine, Newport News. Some of you may remember that I was writing an article for it earlier in the year. He telephoned to congratulate me on it and to ask if I would write an article for each issue. I was also asked whether I still did my picture a day. The magazine has been produced for the last fifty years, something of an accomplishment; today’s glossy magazine will be very different from the very first issue.
