Through a glass darkly

Not so dark in our sitting room! The painting continues.  Having been a bit stunned by the vibrance of Mindgame  (Hepburn Blue in another guise) I applied Lapis with some trepidation. Now that is a nice blue- we are agreed upon that. There's currently a Santorini vibe going on -  hilarious as the gales and rain lash outside. It could just work or Mindgame might have to be replaced with something less in -yer-face.! If you haven't a clue what I'm wittering on about see here.

It is of course Derelict Sunday and this rather forlorn little specimen was glimpsed festering on the other side of some frosted glass in an old but close shed; abandoned and ignored. Millions of these old Singers must have been made for they crop up everywhere - first manufactured 1851. The bases too, complete with their pedals, so beloved of chic cafes - we even found one in the garden when we first arrived here. It's still out there with a rough hewn top, confounding all weathers. Thanks to sdg92 and Maisiebeth for doing the honours.
