Flowers For Real

Cornhusk flowers yesterday, real flowers today. Multi-colored yesterday, predominantly pink today. On the streets of Zihua yesterday, inside our apartment complex today. These dramatic leaves have often attracted my attention resulting in various photographs over the years. I pass by them at least half a dozen times a day and never noticed, until today that is, that they also have these delicate-looking flowers. This necessitated another round of photographs and reminded me to always keep my eyes open (photographically speaking), even to things I think I know well.
