Agapanthus Opening

A lovely wet day today - much needed rain, just not enough yet. This afternoon I ducked outside between showers to find a blip. Not a lot offering but found this agapanthus just opening. Everything around was very green and lush.

Later the sun came out for a few minutes and everything began to steam. I tried to capture it but with no success. For some reason, it wouldn't show up in the photograph. There must be something I am not doing right.
