Sleigh Crash

It is TT’s birthday.  We were all up early – the boys were off to football (dads v kids) and I had a birthday cake to finish, cards to buy and a hundred and one other chores to do.  I was invited to football, but I just couldn’t fit it in.

Once they were back, showered and ready, we set off to Newcastle to visit TT’s sister and family.  BB loves going to see them, and we don’t see them as often as we should.  Both his cousins were at home.  H is 16, and P is almost 19 – and they are both very patient with BB.  The drive down was through horrendous weather – rain, sleet and snow.  Later in the afternoon we headed into Newcastle town centre to see the Christmas lights and to go out for tea.  The rain put a damper on things, so we ended up going for tea rather earlier than we might have done. We all passed on dessert and headed home for some of TT’s chocolate fudge birthday cake.  It went down well.

They are a family who watch the X Factor.  We never watch it, except at their house – once every couple of years.  I was reminded why we don’t watch it!

We managed to look at the magical Christmas windows in Fenwicks.  They tell the story of Santa’s sleigh crashing into the department store (see extra). Here is a reindeer that has crashed!
