Christmas starts here!

A busy and fun day starting with the early arrival of John and Grace from Bristol ( I was only just up!)

Grace and I headed off into Leeds on the train, our original plan of lunch in the Christmas market was thwarted as they packed up on Sunday so we headed to Trinity Kitchen.

As usual there were interesting street food stalls and we had some delicious southern Indian food. Masala Dosa, Chilli Paneer Wrap, Samosa and wonderful fresh salad!

Our visit was to see the Northern Ballet production of The Nutcracker. It was absolutely fabulous and so perfect for this time of year.

It finished at four and I couldn't use my return rail ticket until after 6. 30 so we perused the shops including those here in the wonderful Corn Exchange. There is a new shop promoting only Yorkshire goods inside.

We then made our way up to Browns for a mulled wine followed by a cocktail - a very happy hour was passed until it was time to leave.

The men had tea ready for us too when we got home! A great start to Christmas.
