Marjorie's ramblings

Good sports

Mum and I had good fun this morning as we perfected the shower and hairwash technique for someone who can't use one arm and is rather unsteady!

We went into Hexham at lunchtime with tickets to see Kenneth Branagh's production of The Winter's Tale. It was well done and the speech was easy to follow. It's not my favourite play, but I love Shakespeare so it was a lovely Christmas event. The cinema was packed and everyone clapped at the end.

Back home and our friend Annette brought her 3 children to see us. They have a family tradition of eating Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, then they get into their new pyjamas and slippers. They had changed, piled into the car and came to see us.

They were even "happy" to be blipped. What stars!

I'm still coughing and now streaming so I think an early night is called for. Mum's fingers swelled during the play so she is sitting with them vertically upright to drain. The wounds look very good.
