Twenty Sixteen

So after a step out, the bells were brought in at the Bailie, a fine convivial wee hostelry. Then there was a brief nose into the Raeburn to greet the daughter and her pals. And back to the gaff - with the first bag of chips of the year.
So, a bit of a late rise, but with no ill affects apparent, it was on with the kilt and off up to the Old Town to meet R&E and take in a bit of music, poetry and some film as part of Scot:lands. What a grand event it is. Though I think we peaked too early as our first venue was Lyrical:land curated by Vic Galloway - a great roster - Roddy Woomble (seen here), Kathryn Joseph, C Duncan and poet Michael Pedersen. Then onwards to see Emma Pollock and further on to see Aidan O'Rourke playing some music to a pretty dull film of seabirds. Onwards! To Cine:lands to see a bit of film before ending with a beer and some Admiral Fallow at Potterow.
So home and the great challenge - MrP cooks tea! Well, peels and mashes tatties. Heats a pie. Biles sprouts. AND does the dishes. That's me with a fair pile of brownie points already. I wonder how I should spend them....

Happy New Year all - let's hope we can keep Blip going in 2016 with our collective efforts.
