Man's Head

West of Porthmeor Beach is the rugged Man's Head, looking towards The Island in the distance.

This morning we walked a hundred yards to the leisure centre and after signing up, I did a short circuit training session and Marian did yoga. 'But you're on hoiday!', I can hear you saying. Indeed we are and we'd like to go home a bit fitter than when we arrived. It's a lovely leisure centre and it couldn't be more handy. When that was done we went off food shopping so we're all stocked up now.

We had a few spells of blue sky this morning but after lunch it cleared nicely so we walked down to the town. I left Marian at shops while I walked to the west of the town and out to Man's Head, where there are lovely views across Porthmeor Beach to The Island (not an island at all but the raised head with St Nicholas' Chapel and the Sea Watch station on it). I walked back along the beach and then around The Island, taking shots of the Chapel before heading home.
