Two Towers

Two photos travelling in to Manchester early this morning.

The blip is the Beetham Tower. I love the way the early morning sunlight catches the south face of the tower, and set against a blue sky with emerging cloud.

The second - in the extra - is the tower under construction on Wilburn Street basin in Salford. Amazingly, those bricks on its facades are being laid literally - brick by brick. It quite matches the old railway viaducts which are such a feature of this area.
