Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Valentines

I always think about my Mom and her twin sister on Valentine’s day . …   they would be 110 today on their birthday.   I had some time, finally,  to do some more work on my computer course so you will please indulge my experimenting….it might as well be the blip. :-)   My Mom never saw this place but part of her is here.  If she had, we’d have a much better garden.   Took a photo on our walk today at the faerie circle (it’s a very grey day) and then used this photo of her from a slide I’ve already had digitized and am delighted to be able to use.   I think it’s about 1946 —so she would have been 40.  It’s the earliest I have up here except for the plaster plaque that hangs in the cabin, done by a sculptor in love with my Mom (Ethel), but he had to create this piece with the both of them…the twin is Esther and it says Twins in Swedish on the top. I have the original marble piece with wood frame in Seattle…it’s another story—I think I’ve blipped this piece before but can’t find it—if I had my blip books I could flip thru and locate it quicker…..
Miss you, Mom.  (there’s another picture in the year ago entry from here…)

I hope you all do (did)  something lovely today with someone you love.

Edit : the extra is from the original 1946 slide..
